Inspiration for color

Inspiration for color and texture palettes comes from Mother Nature herself.  I’m intrigued when I am asked, “Do these colors go together?”  More often than not the colors are found in nature together.  A tree gives us various colors of brown and green varying depending on the species and variety of the tree along with the seasons of the year.

Bits of grey and oranges can be found mixed into the tree truck as yellows and reds can be found in the leaves depending on the seasons.  Colors of dry grass against a blue sky with a red barn give us inspiration for a weaving or for a color palette for a room.  A wild, stormy sky gives us inspiration for using various grey tones ranging from blacks to purples to whites.

Look to the landscape for your inspiration for what gives you comfort and make you happy!

Since 2015, I have helped over 100 interior designers, builders, builders, and architects – from those just starting out to award-winning designers published in Architectural Digest, Luxe, and more.

My process starts with what is already true within you, then brings it to life in a way that resonates with your ideal clients.

I work with designers because they’re awesome. I’m a member of IDS (Interior Design Society) and served on the board of the Virtual Chapter. Design events I’ve attended include High Point, Vegas Market, and BOLD Summit (Business of Luxury Design).

When I’m not creating brands and websites, you can find me listening to audiobooks and going on long speed walks with friends.

I’m from Seattle and now live in New York City with my wife, Gaby.
